Walk the Path

"Walk the Path" is an original 18"x12" watercolor of the highly traversed central pedestrian path known as the McCarthy Mall at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.  While working at the university, I came to love a stroll down the path to detach from work for a moment and enjoy how the sunlight dapples the path below the tree canopy.   There was always a friendly Aloha along the way and you never knew who you might run into here.  

My hope for this painting is that reminds current students and graduates of their time at UH, the friendships they made, the education they received, and the path that they walked in reaching their goals.
